Smoking Prevention 3.1
“Peer
Education on Smoking Prevention” was a training project on experiential ,
non-formal learning concerning smoking prevention among youngsters. It was
funded by the Youth in Action Program (Action 3.1) and addressed to youth workers, who would later become peer educators and perform similar activities
in their countries of origin.
The project, therefore a) provided the participants
with the essential knowledge and skills, so that they would then b) update and
improve the current applicable smoking prevention models.
The project’s inter-cultural implementation basis
would foster, primarily, c) mutual respect among the participants and,
furthermore, d) the incentive for further cooperation on the theme of smoking
prevention among the partner Organizations.
The proposed project met and promoted the above focal
points through the placement of 29 beneficiaries. It took place in Chalkidiki
for the period of 25/08/2007 to 31/08/2007.
