Fight for Life
Fight for
life (Peer Education on AIDS Prevention) is a training
project on experiential, non formal learning concerning AIDS prevention among
youngsters. It was funded by the Youth in Action Program (Action 4.3) and
addressed to youth workers, who would later become peer educators and perform
similar activities in their countries of origin.
The project, therefore,
a)
Triggered changes in knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and behaviors at the
individual level.
b)
Created change at the societal level by modifying norms and stimulating
collective action, as well as contributing to changes in policies and programs.
c)
Shared ideas from international point of view on the theme of AIDS.
d)
Reinforced mutual respect among the participants and, furthermore,
e)
Created the incentive for further cooperation on the theme of AIDS prevention
among the partner Organizations.
The project met and promoted the above focal points
through the placement of 29 beneficiaries. It took place in Lithotopos, Serres
for the period of 23/02/2008 to 29/02/2008.
